Speaker 2:

Hello and welcome to Unbound Ambitions, the podcast dedicated to career-driven women navigating the complexities of balancing work, life and everything in between, and in this new series, we are diving into an incredibly important topic balancing life to avoid burnout. We will explore how to maintain your energy and reignite your relationships, especially if you believe that you are becoming more and more like roommates. We will also cover ways to embrace authentic leadership instead of suppressing our true selves out of fear that we won't be accepted, all while staying true to our feminine essence. I want to start by sharing a personal story. Before I left corporate, I was at the peak of my career, but I felt constantly exhausted and emotionally drained. My relationships were suffering, not only my relationship with my husband, but also the relationship I had with my children. I found myself raising my voice more and more instead of communicating better, and I wasn't talking to them. I was shouting at them. I had no patience and felt like I was losing touch with who I was. It took a major wake-up call and that wake-up call, unfortunately, it came in the form of losing lots of money to realize that I needed to start doing things differently and start thinking of myself more to truly thrive, to truly create the lifestyle, the career that I wanted, but not just creating the career, also enjoying that career. And while I was thinking the theme of this new series, it was this journey that stand out to me and inspired me to create this series to help other women avoid the same mistakes and find a path that, yes, it brings success, but also it creates fulfillment, because success without feeling happy isn't success, it's still struggle. So let me tell you why balance matters.

Speaker 2:

Working women face is the daunting challenge of juggling professional responsibilities with personal well-being. And because of this big challenge, burnout is becoming increasingly common, which we feel emotionally exhausted. Our relationships are not as they used to be, there is lots of anger and blame that goes around and we lose our true selves. Did you know that nearly 50% of working women report feeling burnt out? It's a big percentage. Report feeling burned out. It's a big percentage and it highlights the urgent need for changing the way we do things. This quote from Marianna Haffington speaks volume. She says we think, mistakenly, that success is the result of the amount of time we put in at work, instead of the quality of time we put in. It resonates deeply with me, is why I have this mission to help you achieve not just professional success but also personal well-being and fulfillment, because what's the gain if we become successful but we hate our lives? What's the point if we are surrounded by the things we so much crave and our whole life is left without joy, without being able to enjoy them because either our relationship is destroyed or our health is under strain?

Speaker 2:

In the upcoming episodes, I will cover various topics to help you thrive professionally and personally. We will start by identifying the signs of burnout and emotional drainage. Then we will move on to maintaining healthy relationships, embracing authentic leadership, overcoming self-sabotage and reclaiming our femininity. Each episode will be packed with real-life examples, personal stories and actionable steps you can take to improve your life balance, and I am so excited to share this journey with you. We will also feature guest interviews with experts and successful women leaders who will share their insights and experiences. For example, in our next episode we will be talking to Anoum Farouk, an exceptional woman, a diversified professional with unestablished skills across education, entrepreneurial, environmental and youth advocacy, cultures and arts field. She is an award-winning international and UN ambassador. Her insights will be invaluable. I met Anoum four months ago and I was so much impressed by her presence, her character and her whole way of managing to have a thriving career while raising three young kids and pursuing her passion in art.
